Ehlert, Marie (1 OCT 1924)

Mr. Walter Wegner and Miss Marie Ehlert were united in the holy bonds of matrimony at St. John's Lutheran Church at Neillsville at two o'clock on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 1924.

The groom is the son of Mr. Charles Wegner of Globe, Clark County, Wis., and has been employed on his father's farm.

The bride is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles J. Her bridesmaids, Miss Laura Ehlert, her sister, and Miss Gertrude Lang, cousin of the groom, wore pink voile and carried bouquets of pink asters.

After the ceremony and congratulations they returned to the bride's home, where a four o'clock dinner was served to fifty-seven guests. The guests were: Mr. and Mrs. Erick Ehlert and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur F. Ehlert and family of Oconomowoc, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Leisner and daughter Marguerite of Ashippun, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Gust Kalsow and family and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schlinkert and family of Globe; Willard Otto of Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Schultz and family, Mrs. Fred Montman and daughter Irene of Hudson; and Mr. and Mrs. Ole Aspen and son Herbert of Neillsville.

After a few days' stay at the bride's home, the young couple left to make their home on the groom's home farm, which they have rented.
