Davis, Calvin (4 NOV 1884 - 7 Jan 1925)

Calvin Davis died at his home six miles northeast of Greenwood, Clark County, Wis., on Jan. 7, 1925; his death was caused by leakage of the heart.

Deceased was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Solon Davis of Granton, Clark County, and was born Nov. 4, 1884. He attended Granton schools and completed his high school course in Neillsville, graduating in the class of 1908. On Aug. 11, 1909, he was married to Miss Lottie Berg of the town of Fremont. Soon after their marriage they moved to their farm near Greenwood, which has been their home since then.

Mr. Davis was a man of a fine type of mind. He was interested in all that makes for good citizenship, and helping by his words, deeds and influence to make his community a better place to live in. Hiss schoolmates here and at Granton will grieve to learn of his too early death.

He is survived by his wife, one daughter 15 years of age and a son 12.

The funeral was held at the home of his parents near Granton on Friday, Rev. Wilson Mallory officiating.
