Holverson, Lenore G. (Marriage - 20 June 1923)

Mr. Herman Awe and Miss Lenore G. Holverson were quietly united in marriage in the presence of relatives and a few close friends at 3:30 p.m. June 20 at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin A. Holverson. Rev. Donnell officiated. They were attended by Richard Albrecht and Miss Emily Frei, friends of the young couple. The bride was gowned in a beautiful white canton crepe dress, trimmed with daisies and carried a bridal bouquet of yellow tea rose buds. The bridesmaid wore a gown of tan canton crepe.

The home was very prettily decorated with peonies, pansies and roses.

The bride is the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Holverson. She graduated from the Neillsville High school in 1920 and since then has been a very successful teacher. She taught in Green Grove for nearly three years. She is a young lady of very fine qualities. Her cheerful friendliness wins friends for her wherever she goes. She is well qualified to perform the duties of a home.

The groom is the son of Mrs. Fred Awe. He is a stranger to many of the people of Neillsville, but those who know him speak highly of him. He is a farmer and has been long with his invalid mother taking charge of her property.

After the ceremony a fine supper was served. Soon after the supper, the young couple left in their car for Holverson’s cottage on Lake Arbutus, where they will spend some time. After that they will make their home for the present with the groom’s mother in the town of Green Grove.

With them got the best wishes of their many friends.
