NEILLSVILLE --- An average of $2,463 was brought by the 45 animals sold July 20 at the Clark Cavacade registered Holstein sale at the Clark County Fairgrounds.

The average was down $774 from the last sale.

Skokie Tippy Nadine, consigned by Don Dahlstrom, Hammond, was the top selling cow at $7,200. It was purchased by Tom Kren, Neillsville. Dorsland Marvel Arlinda sold for $5,300, the second highest price paid at the sale. Robert Weinfurtner and Ron Gotz, both of Marshfield, bought the cow consigned by Dorsland Farms, Junction City.

Two female embryo transfer twins born in May each sold for $4000.

Approximately 1,000 people attended the sale held during Farm Progress Days.
