Filber, Ida (30 MAY 1857 - 8 Jul 1922)

Mrs. Ida Vetter Filber died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Rusch at Eagle River, Wis. on Saturday July 8th, 1922, at the age of 65 years, 1 month and 8 days.

She seemed in usual health and died very suddenly of apoplexy.

She was born in Kewaskum, Wis., May 30th, 1857. On July 19th, 1874 she was married to Jacob W. Filber, who died Nov. 10, 1918.

To them were born four children, two of whom survive her, Mrs. Amanda Rusch of Eagle River, and Mrs. Alma Schultz of Wausau, two sons, George and John are deceased. She also leaves to mourn her death four grandchildren and one great-grandchild, besides three brothers, Will Vetter of Minocqua, John of Milwaukee, Charles of Wirt, Minn., two sisters, Mrs. Emma Thompson of Minocqua and Mrs. Berth Beaty of Chicago, besides a large number of friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Filber moved to Loyal, Clark County, Wis. about 32 years ago, where they lived for some time, later going to Wausau and to Walworth, where Mr. Filber died. For the past two years the deceased has made her home in Wausau with her daughter.

She was a member of the Royal Neighbor Lodge at Wausau and a charter member of the Loyal Lodge when it was organized.

Mrs. Filber was remarkably active in body and bright in mind, a very industrious woman, always helping others. She was a kind neighbor and true friend and her memory will be one which will last through many years to come.

The funeral services were held at the Methodist Church in Loyal, Rev. J. H. Chatterson officiating. The Royal Neighbors attended in a body and took a part in the services at the grave.

Interment was in the family lot (Loyal Cemetery) beside the grave.

Interment was in the family lot beside her husband.

To the bereaved relatives we extend our sympathy at this time.
