Capelle, Leona (Marriage - 29 June 1922)

Mr. Arthur Ledebuhr, second on of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. W. Ledebuhr of Milwaukee and Miss Leona Capelle, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Capelle of Granton were married at 4 o’clock Thursday afternoon, June 29, 1922, at the parsonage of Rev. M. Hasz, who performed the ceremony. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Viola Capelle, and Mr. Herbert C. Ledebuhr, a brother of the groom, acted as best man.

The bride wore a beautiful dress of Canton crepe trimmed with lace and wore a veil; she carried a shower bouquet of tea roses and smilax. The bridesmaid was dressed in white crepe de chiene and carried a bouquet of pink roses and smilax. The groom and best man both wore blue serge suits and buttonhole bouquets of roses and smilax.

After the wedding a bounteous dinner was served to immediate relatives at the home of the bride’s parents. The rooms were prettily decorated in blue and white.

The groom has a substantial position as engraver at Bleobel’s Jewelry Store in Milwaukee. He is a young man of fine reputation and good appearance.

The bride has always live at home. She has home-loving tastes and home-making talents that fit her well for her new duties. The happy pair will reside in Milwaukee.
