Andrew D. Thiel was born April 5, 1990, in Marshfield, to James A. and Joan M. (nee Novitzke) Thiel. He attended Madison and Grant Elimentary Schools in Marshfield, and was currently tutored at home. He was an honorary member of the Marshfield Tigers football and hockey teams and developed many friendships over the years. He was also an honorary member of the University of Wisconsin Badgers hockey team. He truly enjoyed his trips to Madison to see the guys play. He also enjoyed his visits, phone calls, and e-mails from all the players. He enjoyed playing with his tractors and playing hockey with his high school friends who would come to visit. He enjoyed attending football and hockey practices when he was able. He enjoyed sitting on the sidelines and in locker rooms during high school and college games. He also developed close relationships with his home hospice caregivers, volunteers and tutors, as well as his physical and occupational therapists and physicians. He enjoyed fishing and many camping trips. He will be missed by his well-fed pets, Dozer, Tippy, Whiskers, and Bootsie. He enjoyed building projects with his dad in the garage. Even though his life was short, it was full and rewarding, and he touched many lives.
