About 100 relatives and friends gathered at the Erven Staves home for a shower for Miss Betty Osborn and William Staves, second son of Mr. and Mrs. Erven Staves. The afternoon was spent socially. Bert Hanby of Alma Center played a few selections on his violin,. A large amount of useful gift were received by the bride to be. Opening of the gift packages was followed by a fine lunch brought by the visitors. William and Betty will be married in St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church in Humbird, Saturday at 2:00 pm, conducted by Rev. C. M. Pierstorff. These present from away were: Mr. and Ms. Ogden Osborn, Sanford Phillips, Miss Ruth Osborn, from Augusta, and others from Humbird and Alma Center. William and Betty and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Staves returned to St. Paul Sunday evening, where they are employed.
