Hemmy, Mabel E. (25 NOV 1919)

At 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, 1919, Mr. Christian O. Gasser of Baraboo, and Miss Mabel E. Hemmy of this place (Humbird, Clark County, Wis.), were quietly married at the home of the bride's parents in the presence of immediate relatives and a few friends. The Rev. C. E. Maves of Baraboo, officiated.

The bride, the only daughter of Hon. And Mrs. Peter Am Hemmy, is a most estimable young lady, well known and respected in this community. She graduated from the Humbird High School in 1917, and later took a course in the Hunt Business College at Eau Claire. Previous to her marriage she was employed as bookkeeper and stenographer in the First State Bank of Humbird.

The groom is a graduate of the department of agriculture of the University of Wisconsin. Soon after his graduation from the university he was called into the army, serving creditably with the 49th C. A. in France. His reputation for integrity and gentlemanly qualities stand above reproach in his home community, where he is best known. Mr. Gasser is the owner of a farm near Baraboo, at which place the young people expect to make their future home.

The best wishes of the host of friends for the welfare of the young people go with them.
