Dodge, Iva (Marriage - 8 Oct 1913)

The people of Merrillan will be agreeably surprised when they learn that Miss Iva Dodge was married to Chauncey Owens of Neillsville, Clark County, in Eau Claire at the Presbyterian Parsonage, Rev. Wm. F. Angus officiating, at 8:30 p.m. Oct. 8, 1913. The announcement came as a complete surprise as the young couple had kept the matter very quiet, but, nevertheless, the people are extending congratulations.

Miss Dodge is the only daughter of Mrs. Emma Dodge of this place, and for the past several years has been a valuable and efficient typo in the Leader office, where she will be greatly missed as she is one of the best compositors an office ever had. The groom is one of the business men of Neillsville, having a three chair barber shop and is a young man of high moral character and is well thought of. Although not very well known here, the people who do know his speak very highly of him. The best wishes of many friends are extended to them.

After a short wedding trip they will return to Neillsville, where they will start housekeeping. (Merrillan Leader)

I would be very much interested in anything else anyone has on this lady, her husband, children, or her mother.

Ruth,

I did spot an article about a wedding which mentions the bride and groom were going to reside at the Owens' home. Click on the URL below to see it. I also added the Dodge and Owens names to the contacts list and will keep an eye open for more info!

Best of luck in your search, Janet
