Crocker, Blanche (Marriage - 12 Oct 1913)

A quiet home wedding took place Sunday evening at six o’clock, Oct. 12, 1913, when Mr. Geo. Zimmerman and Miss Blanche Crocker were married at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Crocker. Only relatives and a few intimate friends were present. The ceremony was performed by Rev. H.A. Risser. Miss Alice Neverman played the wedding march and she, with Miss Fay Marsh, served at the supper which followed the ceremony.

The bride and groom need little or no introduction to most of our readers. They attended school together here (Neillsville, Clark County) in their home town, both graduating from our high school. The groom took a business course later and after some experience as a bookkeeper and in other lines of work in the west, returned to take an active part in the mercantile business known as the Big Store, or Zimmerman Hallada Co. He is a straight forward, manly young man, who is thoroughly efficient in his work. This with his evident candor and fairness in business has gradually won for him good will from the public.

The bride has also the good qualities of efficiency. She added to her high school education, some University and business training, and with what seemed to be a natural competency for affairs, she has frequently been called upon to assist in every office in the court house, in the post office and other lines of business about the city. She has, moreover, what is still better, fine common sense and the best traits of a lady.

No bride and groom in Neillsville ever started life with fairer prospects, nor more abundant friendship and good will.

They began housekeeping at once in a home which had been all prepared and furnished next to the Neillsville Garage.
