Parrett, John (16 Jan 1855 - 9 Jan 1913)

John Parrett died at his home in the town of York, Clark County, Jan. 9, 1913, after a lingering illness caused by chronic stomach trouble.

Deceased was born at Adirondack, Mass., Jan. 16, 1855. He came here with his mother in 1870 and has lived most all the time since in the town of York. He was a very prominent and efficient lumberman and camp foreman, and was a leading man in the affairs of the town. In Sept. 1893 he was married to Miss Margaret O’Brien who with five children, three sons and two daughters is left to mourn his death; also two sister, Mrs. Milton Snyder and Mrs. John Dwyer.

Mr. Parrett was a man of great energy and industry while his strength lasted. He was liked by all who knew him and everyone had a good word for him.

He was a member of the Free Masons and the Modern Woodmen. The funeral was held at the home on Sunday under the auspices of the Woodmen.
