Lowe, Florence (Marriage - 1 Jun 1912)

Dr. Fred T. Weeks and Miss Florence Lowe were married Saturday afternoon Jun 1, 1912, at Calvary Presbyterian Church in Milwaukee, rev. James Oasler officiating. The bride has been in Chicago for the past few weeks and came to Milwaukee Saturday to meet the bridegroom, and both being of the opinion that it was their preference to be married then and there, the ceremony was duly performed. They returned to Chicago and will spend a week or so in sightseeing before returning to Neillsville, Clark County.

Both of these worthy young people were born and brought up here, attended school together, and have known each other all their lives. They have that good will of the people her which attaches to the children of our home folks, who have grown up a credit to the community. The groom is the son of Robert Weeks, and the bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Lowe. After finishing the high school the groom took his professional course in dentistry in Chicago and has with diligence, study and increasing skill, established himself in business among his old neighbors and friends. His good habits, quiet and dignified manner and his professional ability, which gradually came to be recognized, places him among the substantial men of Neillsville.

Besides her education in Neillsville schools the bride spent a year in the Chicago Art Institute. Later she learned millinery and became an expert trimmer. She is a young lady of quick intelligence, and more than ordinary originality and independence of thought. We wish them the best things of life.
