Grow, Lillian (1860 - 12 Apr 1911)

The details of the death of Mrs. Lillian Grow, mentioned last week, have not been received except a clipping from a Butte, Mont. paper, stating that she died there April 12 of heart failure. The remains were sent here (Neillsville, Clark County) for burial, the funeral taking place Monday at the home of her son Hal Grow, Rev. W.P. Burrows officiating.

Mrs. Grow was born In Brooklyn, N.Y., in 1860. She came to Colby in 1873 with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wicker. In 1878 she was married to Chas. F. Grow. A few years later Mr. Grow was elected County Clerk and they moved to Neillsville, where she made her home until recently.

She leaves one son, Harold E. Grow, who is married and resides here; one son George died when about fifteen years of age, and one daughter, Mrs. Chas. Taylor died about a year ago. She leaves also an aged mother, Mrs. A.A. Wicker, two brothers, E.L. and Howard Wicker, and one sister, Mrs. Carrie Enright. The mother, both brothers, Mrs. E.L. Wicker, and a niece, Miss Adelaide Enright were here to attend the funeral.
