Eunson, Frank A. (1868 - 13 Nov 1908)

Frank Allen Eunson, a brother of Robert Eunson, died in Chicago last Friday and was brought here (Neillsville, Clark County) for burial Monday, the funeral taking place Tuesday at the home of Robert Eunson, Rev. N. F. Chapman officiating. Deceased was born in Winnecome, Wis., and was in his fortieth year. He was the youngest of the family. His father died before he was born and his mother died when he was three weeks old. He was taken care of by a family by the name of Allan and grew up as one of the family. A daughter, Miss May Allan came with the remains from Chicago. He left three of his own sisters and three brothers, Robert of this city, John of Wausau and Charles of Janesville. Deceased visited here about ten years ago and made a number of friends.

Frank Allen Eunson died in Chicago last Friday and the remains were brought to this city (Neillsville, Clark Co., Wis.) for burial Tuesday. Mr. Eunson was a man 40 years of age and leaves three brothers and three sisters. They are Robert of this city, John of Wausau, Charles of Janesville, Mrs. Jessie Lewis of Washington, Mrs. Albert Bird of Beloit and Mrs. F. P. Mills of Charleston, W. Va. John and Charles were here to attend the funeral Tuesday.

The woman referred to as Mrs. F. P. Mills was the youngest (and frequently forgotten) child of the couple who emigrated from Zetland only to later die tragically in 1868.  My uncle married her daughter Genevieve but their line became extinct in 2004 whereupon a collection of heirlooms circuitously ended up with myself.  I wonder who it was that adopted her?
