Wiesner, Frederick (3 OCT 1822 - 3 JUN 1904)

Mr. Frederick Wiesner was born in the Kingdom of Bavaria, Germany, Oct. 3, 1822. When he was twenty-two years old he came to the United States and settled in Washington Co., Wis. He married Miss C.P. Davidson, May 3, 1849. He died at his home in Pine Valley, Clark County Friday, June 3, 1904, and had reached the ripe age of eighty-one years and eight months.

Mr. Wiesner's wife, ten children, fifty-four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren survive him. Of the children there were present at the funeral : George, Charles, Mrs. John Seif, Mrs. Christina Frantz, Frank Wiesner, Mrs. Minnie Steel, Frederick Wiesner Jr., Mrs. George Prock of Rice Lake, Mrs. Margaret Grosedale of Stanley. The youngest of the family, Mrs. Carrie Amidon was unable to attend the funeral, but her husband Mr. Samuel Amidon of Hayward was present.

Mr. Wiesner was a man of sterling qualities. For 60 years he has been a citizen of the United States, twenty-nine years ago he came to Clark County, Wis. He was a devout Christian, a member of the Congregational Church. The funeral was held at the Congregational Church in Neillsville, Monday, June 6, 1904, the pastor of the church, Rev. G.W. Longenecker, officiated. A large number of friends and relatives attended the funeral. The body was laid to rest in the Neillsville Cemetery.
