Daggett, Eliza (May 1851 - 7 MAR, 1902)

Mrs. Eliza Daggett died Friday, March 7, 1902, at the home of her sister, Mrs. Thos. Kerns in this city (Neillsville, Clark County). Deceased was born in Hodgdon, Me., and was fifty years old last May. About thirty years ago she was married in Holton, Me., and two years later she came with her husband to Neillsville, where she has ever since made her permanent home, though at times being absent with relatives. Her husband was accidentally killed about sixteen years ago. His death was a great shock to her and greatly impaired her health, in fact she has been almost an invalid ever since his death. Two children died in infancy. One daughter, Mrs. Graces Stewart resided in Chicago where Mrs. Daggett stayed most of the time for the past four years. She returned to Neillsville last November, her daughter returning with her to spend the winter. The daughter returned to Chicago three weeks ago, after which time Mrs. Daggett boarded with Mrs. Chas. Sharrett, until after she was taken sick, when she moved to Mrs. Kerrns', where she died. She leaves, besides her daughter, three sisters Mrs. Thos. Kerns of Neillsville, Mrs. Dean of Minneapolis and Miss Cassie Finnegan, who lives here. The funeral was held at the Catholic Church Sunday, Rev. Father Volz officiating.
