Bio: Hatch, Flossie Beatrice Hatch (1899-?)

 

Flossie Beatrice Hatch was the daughter of Holt Hatch and Florence Adell Ward.  She was born just prior to the turn of the century, Feb Feb 1899 in Oregon.  19 May 1917, she married Johnnie Roy "Jack" Etheridge (5 Jan 1895 in Saint Johns, Multnomah, OR -17 Aug 1948 in Columbia, OR) in Vancouver, Clark Co., Washington.  He was the son of George W. Etheridge (1859–1930) and Belle Narcissa Logan Etheridge (1859–1932).

 

John Etheridge was buried, 17 Aug 1948 (aged 53), in the Fairview Cemetery, Scappoose, Columbia County, Oregon, USA

W. R. Adkins, of Neillsville, was in the city, Tuesday with a patent washing machine called the "Cyclone," from the fact that it is cyclonic in the manner in which it knocks the dirt out of the clothes.  He is having very good success with it.

Tamsey Adaline Peak was born 6 May 1838 in Morgan County, Kentucky.  She became the wife of William Ramey Adkins in 1854 (26 Jan 1856).  That same year, their fist son was born, followed by seven siblings.  William was a Civil War Veteran who fought with the 35th Wisconsin.  They lived in Hewett Twp., Clark Co., WI when the 1900 Census was taken.   They became the parents of George E Adkins, 12 Oct 1856–1932; Minerva Arline Adkins Hooks, 6 Feb 1859–1914; Estalla Adkins (24 Jul 1861-?); William Henry Adkins, 10 Feb 1867–1903; Dora Atkin, abt. 1870;  Jessie May Adkins Hubbard, 1876–1963; Anna Margaret Adkins Hawley, 1877–1921; Vestia Adkins, 1880–1894.  Shortly after the turn of the century, they moved to Josephine County, Oregon.  She died as a widow 8 May 1923 (aged 85) due to diabetic complications after being comatose for six days.  Her son, George E. "Jefferson"  (1856-1932  @75 yrs.) signed her death certificate and was himself later buried in the grounds of the Sparlin Cemetery, Williams, Josephine County, Oregon, USA.

Adkins, Vestia (1880 - 10 FEB 1894)


Died, Miss Vestia Adkins, the 13 year old daughter of Wm. Adkins, died of consumption last Saturday, Feb. 10th, 1894, at the home of her parents in the town of Hewett, Clark County. Funeral services were held at the Congregational Church in this city on the 12th, by Rev. Evatt, and the remains were interred in the Neillsville Cemetery.
