Highground Bicycle Tour a success

It was a grand day on The Highground. The Neillsville American Legion Post 73 and Phillips American Legion Post 122 presented their colors Aug. 7 alongside volunteer holding Native American flags. Visitors and guests cheered as the Replica Liberty Bell tolled greeting the riders as they peddled into The Highground. Following group pictures and a celebration picnic lunch for the riders, support people and families, awards were given to each route’s top fundraisers. As at every event at The Highground, the names of Wisconsin’s KIAs from Iraq and Afghanistan were read.

The 27th Annual Bicycle Tour tallied over $40,000 in donations; once again being one of the top fundraising events.  Thank you to everyone who supported the event with their time, talents and generosity.
