This year the Glee Club was composed of forty-three girls taken from all four classes, and directed by Miss Margaret Kelly with Eulilla Emberson as pianist.  The club has accomplished a great deal of work.  Rehearsals took place every Monday and Wednesday at forty-five minute periods.  They have worked on the following songs:

"When Song is Sweet" by Gertrude San-Souci.

"Syncopated Lullaby" by Clarence E. Sinn.

"Cant' Yo' Hear Me Callin', Caroline" by Roma

"Smilin' Through" by Penn

"Come to the Fair" by Easthope-Martin

"A perfect Day" by Carrie Jacobs-Bond

"In the Boat" by Edvard Grieg

 

1938 Boys' Glee Club

The Boys' Glee Club was organized and directed by Miss Margaret Kelly with Eulilla Emberson as pianist.  It was made up of sixteen boys, who rehearsed every Tuesday and Friday of each week, trying to put some music in the air.  They have worked on the following songs:

"All Through the Night" arranged by Frederick Wick

"Swinging Along" by Velma Bell and Ira B. Wilson

"The Pirates" by Daniel Protheroe

"Loch Lomond" arranged by Robert W. Gibb

"Carry Me Back to Old Virginny" by James Bland

 

The Boys are looking forward to a better and bigger club next year; so come on, boys, let's see what you can do.
