Rural Arts Museum--This charming village of yesteryear is a must see for anyone fortunate enough to visit Colby, Clark County, Wisconsin.  It is home to the original railroad depot from the City of Colby, a one-room country school and a one hundred year old log cabin.  The History of Colby Cheese is also commemorated here.  This Museum is operated by volunteers and benefactors and is open Sundays from Memorial Day to Labor Day and also by appointment. Call 715-223-2264 for more information.

The Stanley Historical Society--located just across the county line, in Chippewa Co., Wisconsin, has a wonderful genealogical and historical collection which includes many items pertaining to the northwestern portion of Clark Co.  They are open on Saturdays and Sundays from 1 pm to 4 pm.  Their holdings include an exciting new research library and are very eager helpers with a vast collection of indexed news clippings.  They have also established an interesting museum.  If you are researching the townships of Thorp, Worden, Butler or Reseburg, this is Society could prove very useful and the members seem very willing to do whatever they can to be of service.
