Osborne, Azure (25 February 1902 – 17 January 1984)

Azure Osborne, 81, passed away at Family Heritage Home, Black River Falls, on January 17.

He was born in Franklin County, Mississippi, on February 25, 1902. He taught in area schools until moving to Chicago. He married Marion Bell, formerly of Humbird, on September 26, 1953. Upon retirement they moved to the Bell family home in Humbird. He was an active member of St. John’s United Church of Christ.

Survivors are two sisters, Hallie Miller of Oakland, California, and Mary Sageman of Anderson, California, two grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at St. John’s United Church of Humbird on January 20, with burial made in the Town of Mentor Cemetery. The Jenson Funeral Home of Hixton was in charge of arrangements.
