Hanne, Elroy, Sr. (30 Aug 1922 – 2 Apr 1976)

The Rev. Kenneth Dix officiated at the funeral services for Elroy Hanne, Sr., age 53, on Monday, April 5, 1976 at the First United Church of Christ. Burial was in the Colby Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Hanne died Friday, April 2 at the Colonial House of Colby.

He was born August 30, 1922 in the Town of Hull, Marathon County. He married Celia Kramer on June 6, 1943. She preceded him in death.

Before becoming ill he was employed as a farmer and worked for the railroad.

He is survived by two sons, Elroy, Jr. and Dale, both of Colby; two grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Woodrow (Audrey) Schmutzler, Sr., Riplinger, and three brothers, Eldred, Abbotsford, Harold and Vernon, both of Colby.
