Wilsmann, Minnie A. (14 July 1901 – 11 October 1982)

Minnie A. Wilsmann, 81, a longtime resident of the Neillsville area, passed away at her 109 West Tenth St., Neillsville home on Monday afternoon, October 11.

The deceased was born July 14, 1901, in Omaha, Nebraska, to William and Mary Ann (Spanswick) Heibel. As a young girl, she moved with her parents to Clark County and received her education in the Christie area. On December 27, 1921`, she married William H. Wilsmann in Neillsville ceremonies.

The couple moved to Milwaukee where they remained for several years. They then moved to Two Rivers where she worked in an aluminum plant for several more years. In 1939, the Wilsmanns moved back to Neillsville and remained there the rest of their lives.

Surviving her is a daughter, Mrs. Armond (Evelyn) Wachholz, Neillsville; two sons, William of Hewitt and Robert of Neillsville; ten grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband on August 17, 1957, and by two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services were to be held today (Thursday, October 14) at l:30 p.m., from the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. The Rev. Gary Clark of the United Church of Christ is to officiate, with burial to be made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. (The body was to lie in state on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and again on Thursday morning until time of services at the funeral home.) Serving as pallbearers for the service were Larry, David, Michael and Robert, Jr. Wilsmann, Michael Baltus and James Marescalco, all grandsons.
