Berger, Edna G. (9 February 1903 - 22 October 1983)



WITHEE - Mrs. Rudolph (Edna G.) Berger, 80, of Withee died Saturday morning at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, where she was admitted October 19.  Services will be Tuesday at Maurina Funeral Home, Owen, with the Rev. Peter Thomsen of Nazareth Lutheran Church, Withee, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Withee. Visitation will be in Riverside Cemetery, Withee.

Mrs. Berger, the former Edna Bowen, was born to Mr. and Mrs. John (Olivia) Bowen February 9, 1903 in the Town of Longwood.

She attended Stevens Point Normal School and was an elementary school teacher in Milwaukee for a number of years. She and Rudolph Berger were married November 17, 1931 in Waukegan, Illinois. They lived in Appleton from 1939-1979 and then moved to Withee. In 1981 they observed their golden wedding anniversary.

Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. James (Donna) Raia of Kildeer, Illinois; a brother, John Bowen, Abbotsford; and a great-granddaughter.

She was predeceased by her parents, three brothers and a sister.
