Marcott, Devonna Fay (Dec 1975)

A princess style empire bridal gown with train and Camelot headpiece was born by Devonna Fay Marcott, Spencer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Marcott, Abbotsford, as she was given in marriage by her father to Dennis Milton Meske, Spencer. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Meske, Abbotsford.

The 7 p.m. ceremony was performed by the Rev. Kenneth Loehrke at the Christ Lutheran Church in Abbotsford. Music was provided by Jill Bremer, organist, and Robert Olson, Soloist.

Attending the bride was Mrs. Mark Pierce, Abbotsford, as maid of honor, and Jill Schilling, Mrs. John Mueller and Roxanne Amacher, all of Abbotsford, were bridesmaids.

They were attired in empire style Nile green knit dresses with dark green velvet jackets, and carried white crocheted baskets containing green camellias and baby’s breath.

Flower girl was Stacy Mueller and Ring bearers Sean and Shannon Marcott.

Serving as best man for the bridegroom was Ron Loertscher, Unity, Groomsmen were Arlen and Kevin Marcott and John Mueller, all of Abbotsford. Ushers were Dean Marcott, Arlington Heights, Illinois, Donald Wigstadt, Dorchester and Richard Marcott, Westboro.

A reception and dance followed at Dorchester Memorial Hall.

Both are graduates of Abbotsford High School, the bride in 1975 and the groom in 1970. She is employed as a type-setter for Speedy Print in Marshfield, and Meske works for Land O’Lakes in Spencer.

The couple will reside in Spencer.
