Miss Jean Noonan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Noonan of Ayrshire, Iowa, received a Bachelor of Science degree in English from Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa, on May 20, 1970. She plans to teach English in high school this fall.

Mr. and Mrs. James Noonan of Ayrshire, Iowa announce the engagement of their daughter, Jean Marie, to Gregory A. Poland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Poland of Rockwell, Iowa.

Mr. Poland is a 1969 graduate of Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa, and is presentl teaching science at the Rockwell-Swaledale High School.

An August 1, 1970 wedding is planned for Sacred Heart Catholis Church, Ayrshire, Iowa.
