Mitchell, Kenneth “Ken” “Kenny” Edward (17 JUL 1923 - 5 FEB 2019)

Kenneth “Ken” “Kenny” Edward Mitchell 95, left this world for a better one Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019, surrounded by the care staff at Cornell Health Services on his final day.

Ken was born July 17, 1923, to Ernest Mitchell and Edna Windsor, in the township of Cleveland, near Cornell.

He later moved to Cadott, where he married Irene Buske Aug. 30, 1948. Both farmed in the township of Sigel, until the age of 70. Kenny lived life to the fullest and spent his money on whatever he wanted. He loved four-wheeling, gardening, playing cards, his cats and his family. He also served in World War II in the Navy.

He is survived by his siblings – Margaret Johnson, Alice Omtvedt, and Wanda (Ken) Bowe; daughters – Cindy (Dean) Erickson and Vicky (Brian Smith) Marion; foster son – John (Amber) Witkus; grandchildren – Bobbie (Cody Evers) Marion, Brooke Erickson, Brittany Erickson and Bryce Erickson; and great-grandchildren – Jazz, Ashyton, Cierra and Bree.

He was preceded in death by his parents – Ernest and Edna Mitchell; his wife – Irene Mitchell; and many siblings.

There will be a celebration of life Sunday, March 17, at Halfway Hall in Cadott, starting at noon.

Arrangements are taken care of by Leiser Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Cadott.
