Willert, Ella (8 OCT 1897 – 1 APR 1970)

Mrs. Ella Willert, 90, died at her home at 318 N. First Street, Abbotsford (Clark Co., Wis.), April 1, 1970, after a six month illness.

Funeral services were held April 6 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Athens, with the Rev. David Seip officiating. Burial was made in the Athens Cemetery.

The pallbearers were George Heldt, Walter Heldt, Alvin Remus, Arthur Remus, Gerhardt Remus, and Loren Venzke.

Mrs. Willert was born in Germany October 8, 1897, and came to Kansas Cit, Kansas with her parents when she was about four years old. Her marriage to Fred Willert took place there on January 27, 1898.

They came to the Athens area in 1941, where they farm. Mr. Willert died February 24, 1957. Three years ago the family came to Abbotsford.

Mrs. Willert is survived by a son, Herbert, and a daughter Olga, both at home. She is also survived by a sister, Louise Willert, of Kansas City, and a brother, Sam Remus of Milan.
