Leonhardt, Fred J. (14 SEP 1893 – 27 FEB 1970)

Fred J. Leonhardt, 76, route 1, Abbotsford, died Friday, February 27, 1970, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.), with the Rev. F.H. Sprengler, pastor, officiating. Burial was made in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery.

Eight nephews served as pallbearers.. They were Alvin Jacobi, Chester Jacobi, and Irvin Jacobi of Abbotsford, Harvey Jacobi of Wausau, Lawrence Jacobi of Chicago, Robert Jacobi of Athen, and Vane Gokey of Colby.

Mr. Leonhardt was born at Abbotsford September 14, 1893. He was married to Hattie Buchholz, who survives him, in the town of Christee on June 16, 1920. The couple operated a farm near Abbotsford until 1960, when they retired.

Surviving, besides his wife, is a son, Gordon, of Rockville, Maryland, and one grandchild.

There are also three sisters, Mrs. Henry (Ida) Jacobi of Owen, Mrs. Clara Jacobi of Abbotsford, and Mrs. Martha Gokey of Abbotsford.

He was preceded in death by a son and a sister.
