Johnson, Diane Lynn (31 JAN 1970)

When the new Mr. and Mrs. Duane Grube return from a Florida honeymoon, they will make their home at 507 Butternut Street, Abbotsford (Clark Co., Wis.).

Diane Lynn Johnson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Evert Johnson of Unity and Duane Grube, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Grube of Abbotsford repeated their marriage vows in a double ring service at Christ Lutheran Church, Saturday, January 31, 1970, at 2 p.m. The Rev. F.H. Sprengler witnessed their exchange of vows and Ronald Boss was organist and accompanist for Miss Julene Radlinger of Dorchester, who sang "The Lord's Prayer" and "O Perfect Love."

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, appeared in a floor length gown of peau de soie, with lace appliques on the A-line skirt. It was designed with long sleeves and a chapel train. A headpiece of petals with three tiers of crystals held the elbow length veil. She carried a bouquet of two white orchids surrounded by stephanotis.

Miss Barbara Spence of Abbotsford and Duke Brehm of Colby were the honor attendants. Miss Kelly Mueller of Colby, Mrs. Allen (Shirley Johnson) Nelson, sister of the bride, of Milwaukee, Brent Bower of Madison, and Alan Grube of Abbotsford completed the wedding party.

Seating the tuests at the church were Dennis Boss of Milwaukee and Alan Ridderbusch of Abbotsford.

The bride attendants were attired alike in sapphire blue velvet formals with white velvet accents on the bodices, and long sleeves. They had matching headpieces of bow with short veils and carried white fur muffs.

Festivities of the wedding day invluded a reception at the city hall, dinner for almost 200 guests in the church dining room, and dance at The Park at Colby. Music was furnished by Norm Lindau and his band.

The groom, a graduate of the Abbotsford High School in 1966, owns and operates the Park, formerly Sportsmen's Park. His bride, a 1966 graduate of the Colby High School, was employed at Allen Bradley Co. in Milwaukee.
