Simenson, Edward A. (22 NOV 1940 - 18 FEB 2019)

Edward A. Simenson, 80 of Ladysmith, died on Monday, February 18, 2019 at Marshfield Medical Center in Eau Claire.

Ed is survived by 1 daughter, Cindy (Dale) Benson of Jim Falls; 2 sons, Ed (Anne) of Chippewa Falls and Al (Sue) of Eau Claire; 7 grandchildren, Casie (Dan), Kaira (David), Krista (Justin), Trinity (Jill), Brandon (Danielle), Josh (Jessica) and Isaac; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Karen (Dick) Steffan of AZ; 1 brother, Dale (Connie) of Eau Claire; and all his very close family from the Mason area. Ed also had his adopted family of 1 daughter, Kathy Seger of West Bend and a son, Derek Minnich (Sammi) of Ladysmith. They both meant the world to Ed and he considered them both family.

In the spring, there will be a celebration of life, following a graveside service at the Cornell Cemetery where he and Beulah will be laid to rest together.

Edward A. Simenson, 80, of Ladysmith, died on Monday, Feb. 18, 2019 at Marshfield Medical Center in Eau Claire.

Ed was born on Nov. 3, 1938, in Cornell, to Arthur and Alma (Johnson) Simenson.
He attended Cornell schools, graduating in 1956. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army Reserves. On July 12, 1958 Ed married the love of his life, Beulah Conry.

They lived in the Cornell area for many years raising their four children before moving to Ladysmith.

Ed is survived by his daughter, Cindy (Dale) Benson of Jim Falls; his sons, Ed (Anne) of Chippewa Falls and Al (Sue) of Eau Claire and his grandchildren, Casie (Dan), Kaira (David), Krista (Justin), Trinity (Jill), Brandon (Danielle), Josh (Jessica) and Isaac. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren; his sister, Karen (Dick) Steffan of Arizona; his brother, Dale (Connie) of Eau Claire and all of his very close family from the Mason area. He also had his adopted family of his daughter, Kathy Seger of West Bend and his son, Derek Minnich (Sammi) of Ladysmith. They both meant the world to Ed, and he considered them both family.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Beulah; his parents; his daughters, Brenda and Joan Marie; his grandson, Justin and his great-grandson, Matthew.

Ed was loved by all who met him with his contagious laugh and witty humor. He will be missed by many.

In the spring, there will be a celebration of life, following a graveside service at the Cornell Cemetery, where he and Beulah will be laid to rest together.
