UW-La Crosse
Several area students have been named to the Dean’s List at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse for the fall semester of the 2018-19 academic year, ending December 2018. Qualification for the Dean’s List is limited to students who have attained outstanding academic achievement. To be eligible, students must have earned not less than a 3.5 semester grade point average and carried a
minimum of 12 credits.

UW-La Crosse, founded in 1909, is one of the 13 four year institutions in the University of Wisconsin System. UWL has more than 10,500 full and part-time students enrolled in 101 undergraduate, 28 graduate and two doctoral academic programs.

UW-Madison
The University of Wisconsin-Madison has recognized students named to the Dean’s List for the fall semester of the 2018-2019 academic year. Students who achieve at a high level academically are recognized by the dean at the close of each semester. To be eligible for the Dean’s List, students must complete a minimum of 12 graded degree credits in that semester. Each university school
or college sets its own GPA requirements for students to be eligible to receive the distinction.

UW-Stout
Several area students have received the University of Wisconsin-Stout Chancellor’s Award for the fall 2018 semester. The award is presented to students who have a grade point average of 3.5 or above.

UW-Stout, Wisconsin’s Polytechnic University, has 50 undergraduate majors and 21 graduate programs, including one doctoral degree. UW-Stout, established in 1891, prides itself on the success of its students in the workplace, with an employment rate at or above 98 percent for recent graduates. Enrollment for the fall semester was 8,748.

Area students on the awards list were:
— Chili: Shawn Esselman, mechanical engineering,
senior.
— Greenwood: Shana Haas, rehabilitation services,
freshman; Hannah Hinker, packaging, freshman; Aarica
Humke, human development and family studies, junior;
Angela Kowal, rehabilitation services, junior; Cole Lindner,
computer science, freshman; Brianna North, early
childhood education, freshman; and Akstin Paskert,
restaurant and tourism, junior.
— Loyal: Jordan Lindner, criminal justice & rehab, junior; and Jaelynn Young, business administration, junior.
— Spencer: Austin Elsinger, computer and electrical
engineering, junior; and Erica Gaetz, human development and family studies, sophomore.
Two area students graduated in December 2018 from
University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie. They were
Brian Hanson, B.S. Management, Colby High School; and
Tara Nigon, B.S. Early Childhood Education, Spencer High School.

UW-Green Bay
The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay has made public the names of students receiving semester honors for the fall 2018 semester. Students who earn a 4.0 grade point average, which represents all “A” grades, receive highest honors. High honors go to students earning 3.99 to 3.75 grade point averages. Honors are given to students earning 3.74 to 3.50 grade point averages. Students are
listed by the county claimed as place of permanent residence. All were full-time students in the fall term, earning 12 or more credits of graded coursework.

Kallie Reckner of Spencer was among those students
earning semester honors.

UW-Eau Claire

The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire extends congratulations to the 2,681 students named to the fall 2018 Dean’s List.

Iowa State University
Approximately 9,752 Iowa State University students
have been recognized for outstanding academic achievement by being named to the fall semester 2018 Dean’s List. Students named to the Dean’s List must have earned a grade point average of at least 3.50 on a 4.00 scale while carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours of graded course work.
