Kenneth Marcott (18 Dec 1924 - 2 Oct 2003)
Kenneth Marcott, 78, Dorchester, died Thursday, Oct. 2 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. Funeral Services were Tuesday, Oct. 7 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Dorchester, with Rev. James Schaefer officiating. Pallbearers were Scott, Jason, Mike, Chris, Jennifer and Art Marcott.
Maurina Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
Kenneth Marcott was born December 18, 1924 in Phillips to the late Henry and Daisy (Packard) Marcott. He attended Golden Willow Grade School and Medford High School. He served in the United States Army in World War II.
His marriage to Evelyn Goerg, who survives, took place, May 29, 1948. They farmed in the Town of Mayville, Clark County. He was a petroleum salesman for Dorchester Co-op from 1968 to until retiring in 1989.
He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and Leach-Paulson American Legion Post No. 517.
In addition to his wife, survivors include three sons, Gary (Karen) of Shiocton, David (Nancy) of Athens, and Thomas (Rhonda) of Killeen, Texas; a sister, Joyce (Lee) Nelson of Arizona; two brothers, Alan (Marion) of Minneapolis, Minn., and Lester of Florida; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he
was preceded in death by a son, Mark; two sisters and three brothers.
