Orville Neibacher (12 Aug 1927 – 26 Sep 1997)
Orville Louis Neibacher, 70, Owen, died at his residence in Taylor County on Sept. 26, 1997.
Funeral services were held Sept. 29 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in the Town of Holway, with Rev. Alice Hill officiating. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery in the Town of Holway.
Orville Louis Neibacher was born on Aug. 12, 1927, in the Town of Holway, the son of Oscar E., and Dorothy (Hamm) Neibacher. He attended the Forest Grove School. On Sept. 26, 1953, Orville and the former Doris Annis were united in marriage at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. They farmed the family farm and Orville also was employed at Wagner’s Feed Mill in Owen, later Cenex, and retired in 1978. He and Doris continued farming. Orville enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, and will be remembered by family and friends for his homemade sausage and smoked hams.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Neibacher of Owen; son, Douglas of Owen; two daughters, Debra (Allan) Loney of Nichols and Denise Neibacher of Owen; two brothers, Wilbert Neibacher of Owen and Floyd (Lois) Neibacher of Dorchester; and one grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant sister.
Pallbearers were Klayton Mickie, Kurt Neibacher, Joe Hamm, Vincent Blume, Merwin Neibacher, Jerry Nowak, Duane Hamm, and Chris Buehler. Honorary pallbearers were Galen and Judy Nowak, John Klein family and Tom and Denise Pennock.
