The family of Lynn Fillipp and the community were grieved and shocked when they learned of his death Friday evening, June 15, 1973, (a line was missing) where he had been a patient for three days. Few of his friends were aware of his illness and were surprised at the seriousness.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 18 at the Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home, with the Rev. Allan Krahn, pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Withee, officiating. Burial was made at Riverside Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Robert Durbin, Newell Wilson, Jeffrey Miller, Wayne Moore, James Riley and William Nelson Jr.

During the service vocal selections were rendered by Mrs. Erma Petke, accompanied by Mrs. Lester Hansen at the organ.

Lynn Fillipp was brn April 28, 1938, in Owen (Clark Co., Wis.),, and graduated in 1956 from Owen-Withee High School. For the past 17 years he had been a postal clerk in the Owen Post Office.

His marriage on June 6, 1964 was to the former Virginia Nelson, who survives him.
