Funeral services were held Saturday, October 25, 1969, at 2:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Green Gove, town of Colby (Clark Co., Wis.) for Mrs. John Kuske, the former Johann Schultz of Kirkland, Washington Rev. Arthur Rasch officiated at the services and Lulloff Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Eugene (Marlis) Tazarek, Edgely, North Dakota, a granddaughter of Mrs. Kuske, sang "What a Friend We Have In Jesus" and "Jesus is Calling," accompanied by Mrs. Vernon Boss.

Pallbearers were all grandsons: John Block, Jay Block, Kenneth Schultz, Ronald Schultz, Dennis Schultz, and Wayne Schultz. Interment was made in Colby Memorial Cemetery.

Johanna Liebert was born in Schneidermuhl, Germany, June 26, 1888. She came to the United States when she was 20 years of age and lived in Minnesota, North Dakota, and Washington during her life. In 1925 she married Ernest F. Schultz and lived in the Colby area for many years. In 1962 she was married to John Kuske and live then in Kirkland, Washington, until her death on October 21, 1969 at the age of 81.

She is survived by her husband, John Kuske; two sons, Harold Block, Colby, and Norbert Block, LaMoure, North Dakota; two step-sons, Ervin Schultz of Unity and Art Schultz of Colby; 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
