Karlen, Rebecca "Becky" A. (Blair) (5 APR 1960 - 10 OCT 2012)
Rebecca "Becky" A. Karlen, 52, Marathon, died October 10, 2012 as the result of
a traffic accident.
She was born April 5, 1960 in Wausau, daughter of Kathleen (Schabel) Blair and
the late LaVerne Blair. On April 24, 1982 she married Patrick Karlen at Holy
Family Catholic Church, Poniatowski. He survives.
Becky worked as account manager at Wausau Papers. She enjoyed scrapbooking and
collected elephants, giraffes and owls. Becky was the life of the party, had a
huge heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Above all, spending
time with her family and grandsons was most important to her.
Survivors include her husband, Pat and their dog, Lucky, Marathon; daughter,
April (Scott) Kaiser, Mosinee; grandchildren, Tucker and Noah Kaiser; mother,
Kathleen Blair, McFarland; sisters, Monica (Robert) Cooper, Levittown, Penn. And
Tricia Blair (Kelly Abt), Mosinee; brothers, Ron (Suzanne) Blair, Jefferson, Dan
Blair, Madison, Vern (Lynn) Blair, Deforest, and Todd Blair, McFarland; god
children, Jason, Stacy, Hava, Henri, Bailey, Breanne, and Britney, and many
other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, LaVerne Blair.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated 12:30 p.m. Saturday, October 13, 2012 at St.
Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. Rev. Joseph Diermeier will preside. Burial will
be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00
p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon and again on Saturday from 9:00 a.m.
until the time of services all at the church.
