Younker, Linda (30 AUG 1969)

Miss Linda Younker became the bride of David Broeske Saturday, August 20, 1969, during a 12:30 p.m. nuptial service at St. Louis Catholic Church, Dorchester. The Rev. Gerald F. Schuh officiated. Karen Sebold was the organist. The children's choir sang.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Broeske of Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.).

Miss Bonnie Hundrieser of Chicago, Illinois was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Miss Jean Broeske of Dorchester and Miss Sue Gumz of Athens.

Duane Broeske of Dorchester served as best man. Groomsmen were Robert Stauner of Marshfield and Galen Beisner of Abbotsford. Ushering duties were performed by Jack Strassburger and Gene Jensen.

Miss Younker, who was given in marriage by her father, Chris Sittner of Chicago, Illinois, wore a floor length chapel entrained gown of white bridal satin and lace, and a bouffant veil and headpiece. Her bouquets consisted of orchids, red roses, lily of the valley and baby roses on white satin streamers with pearls and crystals.

The bridal attendants wore light blue A-line gowns of floor length organza sheer over taffeta. Each had a matching net loop headpiece with lilies of the valley attached to a bouffant veil. For flowers they had a cascade of aqua cabbage roses, white carnations, stephanotis and fern.

A reception followed the wedding at the Mayville Town Hall. Supper was served at 4 p.m. in the church hall. A dance that evening was at Gad in Medford.

Both the bride and groom attended the Abbotsford High School. She has been employed at Rollohome Corporation in Marshfield. He farms in the town of Mayville (Clark Co., Wis.). The couple will make their home there following a honeymoon trip to Canada.
