Steinwand, Mr./Mrs. Francis (Gold – 16 SEP 1969)

Although the date of the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Steinwand is September 16, 1969, open house was held August 24th to coincide with the visit of their daughter, Suzann.

Dinner was served to the immediate family at noon that day at the Casa Loma.

Present were Mr. and Mrs. Jack (Betty) Nadolny and children of Waukesha, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth (Virginia) Bonar and daughter, Eileen, of Northlake, Illinois, and Mr. and Mrs. Julius (Rosemary) Kademan and sons of Marshfield, Mrs. Jim (Suzann) Lyons and children of Burbank, California, Mr. and Mrs. George (Kay) Hellmann and sons of Richmond, Illinois, and Peter Steinwand and family of Lake Tomahawk.

Also present was their only married granddaughter and her family, Mr. and Mrs. Darryl (Mary Lou Bonar) Nelson, and Sharon Beth of Streamwood, Illinois.

Four of the six members of the original wedding party survive and were present at the open house at St. Mary's Catholic School gymnasium at Colby.

Numerous other relatives and friends attended from Madison, Athens, Ashland, Holcombe, Antigo, Merrill, Medford, Eau Claire, Stevens Point, Wausau, Milwaukee and Kentucky.

The family expressed their gratitude to all who helped make it a memorable occasion for them.
