Ozanich, Joseph Sr. (16 February 1879 – 2 May 1975)

Joseph Ozanich, Sr. 96, one-time Willard resident, died in Neillsville Memorial Home Friday. He was admitted there two weeks before.

Mr. Ozanich, son of Matt and Katarine (Klarich) Ozanich, was born in Yugoslavia February 16, 1879. He came to Quebec in 1900, then lived in Joliet, Il., and Houghton, Mi., until coming to the Willard area in 1914.

He farmed there on a farm six miles southwest of Greenwood, when they retired and moved to the city of Greenwood, where he had resided since.

He was married August 13, 1902, in Houghton to Katherine Gregorich. She died May 14, 1961. Surviving is a son, Joseph Jr., of Marshfield.

Funeral services were held Monday at the Hill Funeral Home in Greenwood. The Rev. Robert Houston, pastor of St. Mary’s Catholic Church officiated. Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
