Graikowski, Mr./Mrs. Mike (70th - 19 JAN 1972)

Mr. and Mrs. Mike Graikowski, rural Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), observed their 79th wedding anniversary on January 19, 1972.

Mike Graikowski, 91, came from Poland with his family at the age of 3, and lived in Illinois for a short time, and then came to Wisconsin. Josephine (Lesniewski) Graikowski, 87, came by train from Pennsylvania to Chicago when young, and then to Wisconsin. Mike Graikowski and Josephine Lesniewski were married January 19, 1902 at St. Hedwig's Church by Father Ignatz Orlik. They will reside in rural Thorp, where they farmed all their married life.

They had six children, three boys and 3 girls, John Graikowski, Thorp, route 1, Mike Graikowski, Chicago, (Evelyn) Mrs. Adam Winter, Thorp, (Sophie) Mrs. Henry Arndt, Hanover Park, Illinois. Stanley and Lottie are deceased. They also have 20 grandchildren and 57 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Graikowski has one sister, Mrs. Frances Wisniewski, Waterford, Wisconsin, and Mrs. Graikowski has to brothers and one sister, Adam Lesniewski, Thorp, Mike Lesniewski, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Edna Jasinek, Thorp.
