Riemer, Richard A. “Richie” (29 APR 1943 - 18 SEP 2018)

Richard A. “Richie” Riemer, 75, of Fond du Lac, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at Harbor Haven Health & Rehabilitation, Fond du Lac where he had resided for the past 15 years.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 6 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Stetsonville. Father Michael Hayden will officiate. Interment of his cremated remains will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Stetsonville.

Visitation will take place at 9:30 AM until the time of services at 11 AM on Saturday, October 6 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Stetsonville.

Richie was born on April 29, 1943, at Medford, to Norman Edgar and Ruth Mary (Ludwig) Riemer. He attended Liberty School, Stetsonville.

He never married, but had a longtime companion, Betty Graves. She preceded him in death in 1998.

Richie did lawn mowing work in the Medford and Stetsonville areas. He also worked at Black River Industries in Medford. He enjoyed spending time with his family, music, fishing, gardening and puzzles. He was a past member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Stetsonville.

He is survived by siblings Joyce (Eugene) Erickson of Jackson, Karen Olson and Rhonda (Mike) Handel both of Medford, Marjean Zemaitis of Phoenix, AZ, Kristyn (David) Tickler of Park Falls, Jon (Julie) Riemer of Osceola, Phyllis (Bill) Schafer of Brodhead & Larry (Pam) Riemer of River Falls; his sister-in-law: Pauline Riemer of Stetsonville; and further survived by many nieces and nephews.

Richie is predeceased by his parents, and siblings Marvin Riemer in 2011; Brothers-in-law: Otto “Jr.” Olson in 2016, and Steven Zemaitis in 2017.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be given to the family for a future designation.
