The congressional mandate to cut back federal employment to the June 30, 1966 level has reverberated in Taylor county where postmasters at Gilman and Medford have announced curtailment of Saturday services starting July 27. The cutbacks affect first and second class post offices.
Albert S. Mravik, postmaster at Gilman, a second class post officer, announced Monday that the Gilman office will have limited window service on Saturdays starting this week.
The postmaster said a call window for box patrons will be open only from 9 until 10 a.m. Saturdays
