Larson, Frank W. (9 SEP 1948 - 12 AUG 2018)

Frank W. Larson, 69, of the Township of Goodrich, passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at his residence.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial service will take place at Hemer Funeral Home – Medford on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Nancy Amacher officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Hemer Funeral Home – Medford from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.

Frank W. Larson, 69, of the township of Goodrich, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018 at his residence.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial service took place at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Nancy Amacher officiating. Visitation was from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place at a later date.

Frank was born in Medford on Sept. 9, 1948 to Frank and Hilda (Johnson) Larson. Frank graduated from Medford High School in 1966 and then went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in silviculture. After his schooling he went on to work for the U.S. Forest Service until his retirement. He married Dawn Noland on Sept. 9, 2000, she survives. In his spare time Frank enjoyed microbrewing, woodworking, fishing, hunting, cooking, grilling and smoking ribs, and gardening.

In addition to his wife, Frank is survived by his son Derek (Amber) Larson, their children Brayden, Braxton, Brycen, and Brynlee Larson, all of Medford, and step-son Nicholas S. Noland-Wood of St. Marys, Ga. He is further survived by his two brothers, Howard (Carol) Larson of Lake in the Hills, Ill. and Leonard (Kay) Larson of Black River Falls.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Kenneth in 2015 and Gregory in 2011.

Hemer Funeral Service of Medford and Rib Lake has been entrusted with arrangements.
