Hall, Eugene L. (12 APR 1930 - 12 AUG 2018)

Eugene L. Hall, 88, Prentice, died on Sunday, August 12, 2018, at the Marshfield Health System, Marshfield.

He was born on April 12, 1930, in Chippewa Falls, WI, the son of Vernard and Margaret (Bloom) Hall. He spent his early life and schooling in Chippewa Falls. He was married to Doris Haskins on April 14, 1956, in Prentice. Following their marriage they made their home in the Prentice area. He and his sons were loggers for many years as Hall Bros., and then Hall and Sons Logging. His sons still operate that business. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Prentice. In his younger years enjoyed logging with his draft horses, spending time with his family and friends, was an active outdoorsman, watching western movies, and had a special affection for his dogs.

He is survived by his 9 children: Vernard , Eugene Jr., Dale, Bill, Diane (John) Ruud, and Sam (Stephanie), all of Prentice, Pat (Dawn), Spiral, Ok., Mary (Russell) Wozniak, Bloomer, and Jeff, Ogema, 3 grandchildren: Cody Hall, Russell Wozniak, Jr., and Helena Hall, by 3 great grandchildren: Rose, Jacob, and Anthony Wozniak, and by 1 Half-Brother: Harold “Buck” (Vern) Hall, Cornell, WI.

He was preceded in death by his parents, by his wife Doris on October 17, 2012, by 2 sons: Jerry and Jeffrey Hall, and by 2 daughters: Arlene and Pam Hall.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Prentice, with Pastor Gary Uttech officiating. Interment will be in the Prentice Cemetery, Prentice.

Friends may call from 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Prentice until the time of the service.

The Heindl Funeral Home, Prentice, is in charge of the arrangements.
