Neillsville – Spelling Bee (Winners - 1975)
Neillsville’s Elementary and Junior High Schools selected their representatives
to the Clark County Spelling Bee in competition last week. The County bee will
be held in Colby April 22.
Susan Henchen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Henchen of Rt. 3 Neillsville,
correctly spelled “debris” to win the Junior High School champion ship. Todd
Spangler, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Spangler also of Rt. 3 Neillsville, won the
Elementary School crown by successfully spelling “umbrella.”
Other students taking part in the competition were:
Junior High – Judy Jordahl, Beverly Tibbett, Jean Tibbett, Kim Makie, Greg
Zimmerman, Ann L Klieforth, Gary Genteman, Milda Nagy and Karen Kingsbury.
Elementary School – Susan Ollech, Jim Carney, Pam Sollberg, Lisa Sollberg,
Patrice Genteman and Laurie Johnson.
Winner of the county contest will complete in the state contest in Madison May
3.
