Tinberg, Sonia (Rodriguez) (1953? - 22 JUN 2018)

Sonia Tinberg, 65, of Bruce, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 22, 2018 at Mayo Health System in Eau Claire, surrounded by her loving family.

Sonia was a generous and compassionate friend — witty, selfless and loyal — who felt strongly about helping out those on the sidelines. She served the local community as a business owner and school board member. A genuine and creative soul, she sought to infuse art and beauty in any available moment and enjoyed everything from travel and telling stories to quilt making and planning tea parties. She was fiercely devoted to family and saw her kids as her proudest achievements.

Sonia is survived by her husband, David; her children, Scarlett Michelle (Steve Patch) Tinberg, Audra Tinberg, Nigel (Nicole) Tinberg, Trevor Tinberg and Shannon Tinberg; her granddaughter, Stella Tinberg; her sisters, Diana (Antonio Vargas, Sr.) Vargas, Margot Ochoa, Sandra Rodriguez, Debra Rodriguez and Brenda Mercado; her brothers, Edward Rodriguez and Ernesto Rodriguez; her sister-in-law, Lupe Rodriguez and her brothers-in-law, Paul (Julie) Tinberg, Timothy (Anne) Tinberg and Leonard Malberg, and their respective families.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eusebio and Bertha Rodriguez; her brother, Roel; her parents-in-law, Wayne and Deloris Tinberg; her sister-in-law Barbara Malberg; her brothers-in-law, Omar Ochoa and Jose Mercado, Jr. and her nephews, Antonio Vargas, Jr. and Stone Rodriguez.

Special thanks to the staff at Mayo Health System in Eau Claire and lifelong friend Sandy Jez and her family for their support.

Cremation and planning by Nash-Jackan Funeral Homes. In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged in Sonia's memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital and the Scleroderma Foundation.

A celebration of life will be held at noon on August 18, 2018 at the Tinberg Farm southeast of Bruce on County Road E. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
