Kopacz, Kada Marie (23 SEP 1972)

Miss Kada Marie Kopacz of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) became the bride of Wally Lee Baehr, Withee (Clark Co.) on Saturday, September 23, 1972 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Withee, with the Rev. Arthur Hellert and Father Will Grelle performing the 3 o'clock ceremony. Miss Molly Rabska sang "O Perfect Love" and "The Wedding Prayer," accompanied by her mother, Mrs. Herman Rabska.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Matt Kopacz, route 3, Greenwood, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Baehr of route 1, Withee.

The bride was seen in a white semi-fitted wedding dress with a jewel neckline and long bell shaped raglan sleeves. Her hat, which fell into a veil, was made of the same material as the dress. The dress was accented by a long white beaded belt. She carried a bouquet of spider mums and stephanotis.

Attending the bride as maid of honor was Miss Theria Kopacz, sister of the bride, and bridesmaids were Miss Therese Tylka of Eau Claire, Miss Darlene Saver of Eau Claire, and Miss Carol Mayenschien of Thorp. They were attired in old fashion dutch dresses with green printed flowers. They wore white aprons and scarves, and each carried one large mum.

The groom's attendants were Fred Baehr, brother of the groom, as best man, and Lynn Vetterkind, Thorp, Boy Oryszczyn, Thorp and Steven Henning of Neenah, groomsmen. Serving as ushers were Lynn Nevala, a friend of the groom, and Michael Kopacz, a brother of the bride.

A four-thirty dinner was served in the church dining room following the ceremony, and a reception was held at the Thorp Legion Hall.

The bride is a 1969 graduate of Thorp High School, and has been employed by Gould Batter in St. Paul.

Following a wedding trip to Canada, the newlyweds are making their home on a farm east of Thorp.
