Peissig, Diane (9 SEP 1972)

Now at home in Oshkosh at 2020 Wisconsin Street, Apartment 210, are Mr. and Mrs. Roy Elquist, newlyweds on Saturday, September 9, 1972.

The former Miss Diane Peissig, Oshkosh, daughter of Mrs. Martha Peissig, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), said marriage vows in the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Owen, at 3:30 p.m., with the son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Elquist, Sister Bay.

The Rev. George A. Becker, pastor, officiated at the marriage ceremony and Mass, at which servers were Bruce and Brian Peissig.

The bride's brother, Duane Peissig, escorted her to the altar, and Robert Beyer sang and played the guitar.

For her special day, she wore a floor length gown of white satin, with organza overlay in A-line styling. Her princess veil was held to a Camelot headpiece. Yellow chrysanthemums made up her bouquet.

In the wedding party, Mrs. Trudy Jischke, Oshkosh, was matron of honor, and Thomas Lindal of Bailey's Harbor was bet man.

Mrs. Faye Elliott and Miss Barbara Winnekens, both of Oshkosh, and Mrs. Louis Wuethrich, Greenwood, were bridesmaids. Charles Elliott of Oshkosh, James Anderson, Sister Bay, and Donald Cole, Green Bay, were groomsmen.

Robert Jischke, Oshkosh, and Joseph Boxrucker, Eagle River, shared ushering duties.

The Quonset Hut at Thorp was the setting for the 5 p.m. dinner, which was followed by a reception and dance.

Mrs. Elquist and her husband are 1968 high school graduates, she from Owen-Withee, and he from Gibraltar High. In 1969 she graduated from the Madison Academy of Cosmetology, and has been employed in Oshkosh.

Mr. Elquist is attending the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh, and will graduate in December with a major in sociology.
